The beginning
The insurance industry is always evolving, and every generation meets it on its own terms. After several years in management with an insurance company, Ted Girouard left to build something of his own.
In 1985, he founded All Insurance Ontario to serve the residents of Ottawa. He understood something that still defines us today: clients are better served by an independent broker — someone who can compare the whole market — than by any single insurer.
That conviction, and a relentless focus on service, turned a small brokerage into a trusted local name.
Our evolution
1985
After several years in management with an insurance company, Ted Girouard set out on his own. He founded All Insurance Ontario to serve the residents of Ottawa — built on a simple belief that people are better served by an independent broker than by any single insurer.
The early years
Ted grew the business the only way that lasts: by putting clients first, giving honest advice, and being there at claim time. Word spread, relationships deepened, and a small Ottawa brokerage became a name local families and businesses trusted.
A family business
Joshua and Jeremy Girouard grew up around the business and chose to make it their own. Both earned the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation — the mark of a true insurance professional — and took the lead in carrying the family name forward.
Today
All Insurance Ontario has grown into one of the province's leading independent brokerages, comparing 15 of Canada's top insurers across home, auto, and business. Yet the experience stays personal — boutique attention, real advice, and someone who picks up the phone.
